According to Greek laws all beaches should be accessible to the public. The beach has all kinds of water sports and the hotel beach bar is open to the public. The Blue Bay Palace also boasts a wonderful spa with many facilities and treatments also available to non-residents, (by appointment at the reception desk). Likewise the five restaurants at the hotel also welcome non-residents, again reservations to be made through the reception.

Beaches Agios Nikolaos

In the larger town of Agios Nikolaos there are three popular beaches. Havania beach is on the outskirts of the town (approaching from Elounda) which is sandy. Kitroplatia beach which in the very centre of the town. This popular beach is skirted by local cafes and restaurants. Almiros beach on the way out of town towards Siteia. Almiros beach is sandy and has a natural fresh water river running in to it at one end. It is a very pretty spot but again quite popular in the summer months. This is a very safe beach for children as it is shallow for at least the first 50 meters of water.
