Crete has a healthy dry climate for most of the year. Even during the summer there
is always a gentle wind cooling the highest temperatures. The villa is located
on the latitude of Northern Africa and therefore the sun is very strong in the summer months.
Due to the far south location the ozone layer over Crete is still quite intact which is a natural protection against the uktraviolet radiation. In comparison e.g. to England you feel that the sun burns less on the skin. Nevertheless the sun is very intense and you should use high protection sunscreen to keep your skin young and fresh.
